Description

Domaine Introduction:
The Mazzei family is one of Tuscany's oldest wine dynasties, having owned Castello di Fonterutoli since 1435 and cultivated vineyards for over 600 years. Today, the estate is led by brothers Francesco and Filippo Mazzei, alongside Filippo's son Giovanni—the 25th generation. The "Concerto" was first released in 1981 and is recognised as one of the first ten wines that built the legend of the Super Tuscans. This pioneering blend emerged from a decade that marked a historic turnabout in Tuscan winemaking, experimenting with international grape varieties and new winemaking systems. The 2020 vintage in Tuscany was a warm, dry year that produced wines with excellent concentration, ripe fruit, and approachable tannins.
