Description

Domaine Introduction:
Domaine Henri Boillot is a highly respected, family-owned estate based in Meursault, with a history dating back to 1885. The domaine is renowned for its exceptional vineyard holdings across the Côte de Beaune, including premier cru sites in Volnay, Puligny-Montrachet, and Meursault. Since 2012, Guillaume Boillot, the fifth generation, has taken charge of the vineyard management and red wine winemaking, continuing the family's tradition of producing wines of great purity, elegance, and terroir expression. The domaine practices sustainable, lutte raisonnée viticulture with low yields to ensure the highest quality fruit. The 2013 vintage in Burgundy was a challenging, late-ripening year, marked by cool weather and severe hailstorms that significantly reduced yields in Volnay and Pommard. Despite the difficulties, the vintage produced wines with excellent acidity, freshness, and pronounced red fruit character.
