Description

Domaine Introduction:
Viñedo Chadwick is a landmark estate in Chilean winemaking, part of the renowned Errázuriz family portfolio. The vineyard is located in Puente Alto, in the Maipo Valley, at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The unique terroir—with its cool mountain nights, intense sunlight, and well-drained alluvial soils—creates ideal conditions for producing world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate's history is legendary: the land was originally a polo field owned by the Chadwick family until 1992, when Eduardo Chadwick decided to plant vines on the site, convinced of its exceptional potential. In 2004, the 2000 vintage of Viñedo Chadwick won first place at the historic Berlin Tasting, beating top Bordeaux and Italian wines and putting Chilean fine wine on the global map. The 2015 vintage represents a stylistic evolution, crafted by winemaker Francisco Baettig with a focus on elegance, freshness, and purity over sheer power and concentration.
