Daniel Moine-Hudelot Chambolle-Musigny 1997 is a classic expression of this elegant appellation, now fully mature and showing the beautiful tertiary complexity that comes with age. The nose offers aromas of dried cherries, raspberry coulis, and subtle floral notes of rose petal, evolving into earthy undertones of forest floor, truffle, and sweet spice . On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with silky, finely integrated tannins that have softened gracefully over time. The bright acidity carries flavours of ripe red berries, cherry brandy, and a hint of minty spice, leading to a long and lingering finish . This is a wine at its peak, ready to be enjoyed now—a rare glimpse into the refined style of a domaine that no longer exists.

Domaine Introduction:
Domaine Moine-Hudelot was a highly regarded estate based in the heart of Chambolle-Musigny, run by Daniel Moine, a man who was both a serious vigneron and the long-time mayor of the village. He inherited exceptional vineyard holdings from his family, including parcels in grand crus such as Musigny and Bonnes-Mares, as well as premier crus like Les Amoureuses and Les Charmes . The domaine was known for producing wines of roundness, fragrance, and exceptional elegance, described by wine critic Clive Coates as being "at the top levels of high quality" . In 2008, with no successor interested in continuing the domaine, Daniel sold his vineyards to several prominent estates including Domaine de la Pousse d'Or and Maison Leroy, making existing bottles increasingly rare and sought-after by Burgundy enthusiasts .
