Domaine Introduction:
The Dominique Lafon estate is a prestigious domaine based in Meursault, Burgundy, with deep roots in the Côte de Beaune. Dominique Lafon, a member of the renowned Lafon family, took over the domaine in the 1980s and has since been a pioneering figure in Burgundy, being one of the early adopters of biodynamic viticulture. With an unwavering commitment to expressing terroir, he farms his vineyards with meticulous care, employing sustainable practices and low yields to ensure the highest quality fruit. The domaine produces wines of exceptional precision, elegance, and purity, reflecting the unique character of each vineyard parcel. The Volnay cuvée is vinified and aged for approximately 12 months, with a portion in oak barrels to add structure and complexity, while preserving the vibrant fruit character that defines the appellation.
