60% Carbernet + 40% Merlot, aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. A delicate floral aroma, dominated by red fruit notes: raspberry, plum, plum powder, hints of hibiscus, mint, licorice, bell pepper, and a clear tobacco flavor. Dark chocolate, coffee, dried leaves, and a base of macerated cherry, a candy-like sweetness, and a hint of milk powder. After decanting, the aroma intensifies, though the intensity is slightly weak, with decent variability.
On the palate, in addition to red berries and plum, there are notable notes of green plum and preserved plum, slightly salty, with a good balance of sweet and sour. The mid-palate introduces woody notes, with coffee, dark chocolate, and fruit flavors blending well. Tannins are medium-high, and the body is medium. At the end, is a vibrant mix of berry jam and tobacco, with a good length and moderate variability.

Winery Introduction: Château La Vallière belongs to a historic vineyard in Castillon-de-Médoc, originally named Saint Christopher-de-Médoc. Shortly after 1000 years ago, this fortress became a vital route to Santiago de Compostela, and the lords planted one of the most important vineyards in the Médoc here. On these exquisite gravel terraces overlooking the Gironde estuary, we crafted this Cru Bourgeois blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. After a traditional 12-month aging process, this wine can age for nearly 10 years.
